These are what I love the most to help me connect, grow and create.
PEOPLE
Human beings need the genuine connection of others. I have found those genuine connections and people in the arts. I’ve discovered it is through arts education and programming that I’m able to empower my community, cultivate those connections I crave, and learn from these interactions.
PLANTS
When I was little my coloring pages never seemed complete without the color green. Now as an adult, my home doesn’t feel complete without my green, luscious house plants. My plants and flowers inspire me with their resilience and beauty, and motive me to always keep growing.
POETRY
Whenever I read poetry I get glimpse into the mind and heart of another. The beautiful thing about poetry is it can be expressed in many different forms and still evoke the same feeling. Poetry is powerful. There are many poets whose words and wisdom have inspired my own hope.
